Holdin’ My Own – Eric Church Is Hitting The Road

Eric Church is a Country music artist with accomplished skills in writing and singing songs as well as playing the guitar. Hailing from North Carolina, Church began his formal career on the Capitol label. He released four full studio albums at Capitol, but true success didn’t arrive until he moved to EMI Nashville to release the immensely popular album “Chief.”

Of course, Church is far from the only country music star whose story is intimately connected with Nashville. His first professional job was as a writer, collaborating with a wide range of other musicians. He wrote the song “Whiskey Wings” for Dean Miller and helped Terri Clarks come up with “The World Needs a Drink.” Although Church was eager to step up to the mic himself, he was initially unable to interest labels and producers.

Things started looking up after Church’s performance of the song “Lightning” attracted attention from Capitol Nashville. His first studio album did very well, racking up three solid places in the top 30 of the Country Charts with its songs. Church further increased his exposure by touring extensively with Rascal Flats and Brad Paisley.

Eric Church’s latest venture is his Holdin’ My Own Tour. He recently let a few details about the upcoming shows out, and fans of his work are sure to be excited.

The tour was first announced on August 9th, just before Church took the stage at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater. He told the crowd he would be hitting the road in 2017. So far more than 50 shows have been scheduled. This is an all-church production; there are no openers slated so far and each show is expected to last three hours.

Speaking to Rolling Stone about the tour, Church made it clear he’s aiming for a deeply personal tour. He’s looking forward to playing the show that he and his fans want to hear.

Church’s Holdin’ My Own Tour will begin in Lincoln Nebraska, with the first show scheduled for January 13th. Pre-sale tickets will be released on September 9th, and Church’s fans have until August 23 to sign up for tickets.
